Holy Jerobaum! Look at the size of Jay-Z’s…

jayz_aceOne of my friends told me on chat that he’s bringing a bottle of booze to the office tomorrow to pop after the inauguration. He didn’t say what he’s bringing in.

Here’s a pic of Jay-Z at a DC nightclub on Sunday after his belle, Beyonce, performed at the Lincoln Memorial. Hard to top that for sheer size–or quantity! Or price! (find Ace of Spades Champagne) Obviously he didn’t get the memo that Cristalino is the wine for our times…

Are you allowed to bring wine to work? If so, what’s in your bag for tomorrow?

  1. I work in the restaurant industry (Sous-Chef) I get two free drinks anight usally drink one and give the other away. If I do drink wine tomorrow it will be Therapy Chard (Okanagan) well maybe Blue Mountain N/V (Its a really good Sparkling from the OKanagan also) But I dont care much for “celebrating” an inauguration.

    Oh and I’m Canadian

  2. I am surrounded by wine at work, have a mini fridge in my office space. Yesterday I tried a handful of wines from Malibu. Today? bottles will be popped – all day long!

  3. I work around wine all day as well, in the retail wine industry. Tonight, I’ll probably pop some Duval-Leroy Collection Paris, or Fabre Montmayou’s Phebus MMC (70% malbec, 15% each merlot and cabernet sauvignon). Depends on if I’m feeling splurgy and bubbly, or more value-driven.

  4. Well, tonight i have a meeting with my partner in vinivino.com and yes we’re allowed to bring wine to our office! 😉
    It’s gonna be bubbly!

And, oh yes we are Canadian to!

  5. Perhaps more incredible is the size of the ice tub containing the 7, visible, bottles of the same champagne.

  6. I’m a wholesale distributor of wine, so I’m sitting in a warehouse full of it! Sometimes I’m overwhelmed by how much wine I need to sample. It’s a tough job, but you know….

  7. I only had ONE customer ALL day say this:

“Well, I guess tonight the appropriate wine to drink is American.”

    Come on people!?!?! 🙂

  8. Why do Canadians always need to proclaim their nationality? I find that so strange.

Anyways…my office celebrated OBAMA (so exciting!!!!) with a Shramsberg sparkling wine (served, I am told, in the White House, hence the choice). It was lovely. And none of that British Colombian nonsense was had!
