Airport crush

Yesterday I waited in the security line at Chicago’s Midway airport for 30 minutes. The renovated terminal opened just before increased security checks became mandatory and now crushing bottlenecks can occur as passengers funnel into the security area.

Renovations at the Dallas Fort Worth airport have a new type of crush in mind with a winery actually in the airport, “the world’s first airport winery” according to this press release. Different from the Charlotte, NC airport wine bar, mentioned previously, the DFW wine shop actually claims to be a winery. La Bodega (PO Box 613136, Dallas-Ft. Worth Airport, Texas 75261-3136, in the new Terminal D) doesn’t have a web site other than to state their tasting hours: 7:30 AM – 10:00 PM. That will give a whole new definition to red eye.
