The Atlantic has an obituary for the word “artisanal.” We already thought it jumped the shark in 2007 when we rooted out frauds, settling on “fartisanal.”

Good, now maybe my artisanal wine makers will stand out like a diamond in a goat&#039;s ass now that the word is dead.  As to &quot;fartisanal,&quot; I happen to know first-hand that some of my artisan&#039;s (and, on presumes, some of their wives and girlfriends) indeed do fart, though I try not to be around when an artisanal group farting session is going on, cause, well, like them it is really pretty close to the earth.]]></description>
