Walgreens is a large client of mine. The wine selection is quite strong. It’s clearly not Grapes/Posner level but for a mass merchant it was very good, especially for their first try. Huge selection in the cooler for whites/bubbles, etc. Wide range of pricing from sub-$10 bottles to bottles well over $100. The whole first floor of the store is given ove to unconventional items for an Rx. The Rx stuff is all upstairs.

James – This is their new “flagship” store in the Loop. Somehow, I don’t see any razors or aspirin in the above picture.

Has anyone visited this store and can give us their report on the wine selection? Apparently, there are some pricey bottles there.

I caught the location on the sign in the background, but when I tried figuring out what wine shop was on that corner, the only thing I saw there was Walgreens.

Lots of fun, and I learned something: the Walgreens of Chicago are very different from the Walgreens of NYC.
