Did the "V09" show up on the label for the Bouchard that you tasted? I have had three bottles of the Inflorescence Val Vilaine -- supposedly 2006 and 2007 -- but have not been able to find any vintage indication on the labels (even the Val Vilaine designation is only on the back label and only on some bottles; I guess maybe the importer does the back labels?).

Forget the wool hat and flannel shirt, which is more Portland hipster, anyhow. True douchebag Brooklyn hipsters are now doing the bearded urban farmer with Walt Whitman hat look or working the Victorian/Steam Punk angle, a la the Mast Brothers chocolate d-bags.
"Oanquere"! Lol

On twitter, where many interesting comments about blog posts end up, someone raised the question if the V09 isn't really the 2009. That's what I had thought and it certainly makes sense. But I wrote 2008 in the posting thanks to this importer web page, which states that V09 is 2008:

I guess that needs to be updated?

Hipster is "hipster" in French. Like Spaniards, the French get no end of pleasure in attempting coolness by importing English loan words unabashedly in to their language. Getting a wee bit tired of all the "outlet" shops here in Barcelona.

Ah, for the days when I had a case of the 1964s, mixed: Tondonia, Bosconia and Tondonia white. I think I still have one 1947 Tondonia, but I waiting for it to reach a graceful old age. ;-) I had the M. de Riscal 1922 last year and didn't expect much from it, but it was sensational. The 1945 Riscal may have been the best wine made in Europe that year and I know that is saying a lot. I can't imagine anything better, let's put it that way. And the 1942 Bosconia, of which I shared in the drinking of two bottles was a maravilla as well.
