Soon wine brands like Ch Fourcas Dupre and Ch Fortet will recognize the down side of having a “four” sound in their names and will have to change the brand names to adapt to the Chinese market. The Chinese for four sounds close to the word for death, a particularly negative subject with the Chinese. Can’t wait for Ch Eight-tet and Ch Eightcas Dupre.

Sorry to be nit picky, but it’s technically the “Chinese” character for 8, not “Mandarin”, as the formal written language is the same for all dialects.
