Thank you for a great start to the day! The timing is priceless as I'm going to be taking care of my sister (knee surgery) for several days. If it wasn't for my young nephew, I'd order a glass to be delivered overnite!

That reminds of last time I was in London, when every time I ordered a glass of wine at a bar I was asked "large or small?" They had normal size glasses, and then giant ones. So weird.

I used to have a big crystal pinot noir glass that I loved. It could hold an entire bottle of wine, though nobody would believe me when I told them--it didn't look that big. So I'd take a measuring cup and pour 750 mL of water into it for proof. (People are notoriously bad at estimating volume by sight.)

I loved swirling and sniffing with that glass, because you could really fling around two ounces with a dramatic swoop of the arm. The problem is that when I would go back to regular stemware, I tended to slosh it out of the glass completely.

Sadly, it broke when a plate fell out of the cupboard and smashed it into a million pieces.

That is one big ass glass (to quote Gary Vaynerchuk).

Reminds me of when you go to a mediocre restaurant and they use thick wine/water glasses and fill them to the top. Keep it classy.
