Does it count if you're just getting torrential rains, rather than snow? I guess not, because I can't really tell my boss, "hey can't make it in today, I can't get the car out of the driveway due to rain," or, "the Metro stopped running on account of all the rain," especially since we have no "metro" here in coastal North Carolina. Oh, how I long for just a little snow, to keep me home, bundled up, unable to leave the house, drinking a great CDP or some other hearty red! Hunkering down, indeed.
