This is a great ad. The Gundlach Bundschu Winery has a great sense of humor about the name. Its possible I've miss pronounced the name myself once or twice although I wasn't driving.

Wow, the gewurztraminer poster made it all the way to a museum in Australia? That is pretty extraordinary, thanks for sharing that with us! That old poster features Mary Bundschu in a 1940s Kaiser in a small block of zinfandel on the estate. It was one of dozens of gerat posters the winery produced over the years, most of which are displayed in the tasting room still, and a few are on the web at gunbun.com/posters. In honor of the winery's 150th anniversary last year, Mary's son Jim recreated the poster with his son Jeff in the passenger seat. Check out how well they've restored that old Kaiser!

Have you ever been the Swiss Hotel in downtown Sonoma, Dr. Vino? They have several of these old GB photos hanging in the main entrance hallway. Good for a laugh!

Fantastic punch line. While the sobriety tests may have changed it wouldn't hurt to throw that in every so often just to see how the driver reacts.

Aha! Thanks for the heads up, Cory. Maybe you can see the dust on that picture above--perhaps an original?!?

They sell reproductions of these at the Gundlach Bundschu winery. Pretty classic.
