I consider him a modern day Jonathan Swift. Ultimately through laughter he raises people's interest, and as Laurie rightly pointed out, allows people to explore beyond the initial joke. That was hilarious. Stephan Colbert is a genius. I especially liked the tag line at the end, "This seemed like a good idea when we were hammered on Merlot." And I nearly lost it when he sipped that water. Interesting also to see this research making it to Comedy Central. I guarantee many viewers then googled the AAWE and then maybe ventured into the wine blogosphere to learn more about wine in general and see any other interesting research. Wow. That was hilarious.
