I am sitting here eating these delicious Oreo cookies and wondering about pairing them with wine. So, thanks to my trusted Google, this popped up first!

I was thinking a nice light cab would go nicely with the Oreo. I am thinking of doing a pairing experiment and writing about it on my site….

I actually looked up which wine would be best to pair with an oreo…albeit not one of such enormous proportions. Being that I had none of the suggested wines on hand, I opted for Cupcake Sauvignon Blanc (the name was just too enticing). I wouldn’t say it was the perfect pairing, but it wasn’t too bad. So not too bad, in fact, that I opted for a few more oreos with my “Cupcake.”

Why be snobby about food? Granted, this Oreo is much more stuffed than any I’ve ever eaten, I still love an Oreo now and again. I find it humorous when people express disgust over…well…a cookie. Even with a questionable ingredient list.

Anyhow, to the matter at hand. A pairing. I would also have to go with Tim initially and say Banyuls. But what about beer? A Lindeman’s Framboise perhaps? Or a coffee with cognac and Mandarin Napoleon sounds downright delicious to me.

I saw the photo and then read the caption, I was sold: “Deep Fried Peanut Butter-Covered Brownie Wrapped In Cookie Dough.” Of course, I don’t think I would ever attempt the entire item alone. It’s one of those desserts that would do well to be shared among the entire table.

India’s Hindu nationalist movement apparently has the answer: a new soft drink made from cow urine.

The bovine brew is in the final stages of development by the Cow Protection Department of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), India’s biggest and oldest Hindu nationalist group, according to the man who makes it.

Om Prakash, the head of the department, said the drink – called “gau jal”, or “cow water” – in Sanskrit was undergoing laboratory tests and would be launched “very soon, maybe by the end of this year”.

I am completely willing to admit that I do love an Oreo once in a while, they are actually available here in Italy.

But that much Oreo white cream is just wrong. Exaggeration just does not go well with anything! lol.
