Well Tyler - I've not published my review of Year Of Wine just yet... but it is coming in the next week or two... and I can say without hyperbole and with great humility that it will totally crush it a million times more than the all of the rest of the reviews between now and the end of time, combined.

Or something like that anyway :-).

Hey Doc-

Are you planning to do any touring/book signing for the new book?

There's a bookstore here in Cleveland that also has a small wine bar as part of it. I've started doing some tastings there. Perhaps if you're headed in this direction at all we could set up a book signing/wine tasting. What do you think?

Some great news!

I recently developed a brain tumor and just had a brain biopsy on November 23rd. Turns out the tumor is from local products (I feared given my travel schedule it could be from Europe) and has both a low carbon footprint and is the product of local cancer producing agents.

I have several choices for medical treatment, including Duke University and the University of San Francisco, but have decided to go with a local cancer purveyor, New York University Medical Center.

The pathology itself was done locally at NYU's laboratory at Bellevue hospital on 1st Avenue.

I will be taking chemeotherapy pills provided by local pharmacy CVS and have radiation therapy generated by the local radiation equipment on 34th street.

Altogether, I'm excited by this experience and view it as a way to embrace and encourage local producers and service providers.

Do you have any Local Brain Tumor T-Shirts?

The quality is really great on the video podcast. I enjoyed the origin story of Dr. Vino. It's funny how things just sort of snowball from a witty quip, to a blog, to a pen name for A Year of Wine. Thanks for sharing.
