BarVino has been open now since the Fall 2008. It is fantastic...definitely worth a trip to the beautiful ADKs! I am lucky enough to live and work up here! It is great to have a little slice of cosmopolitan in the heart of this beautiful area.

Dr. Vino -
It is great that the Adirondacks are getting more wine exposure. We opened the Adirondack Winery & Tasting Room right on Canada Street in Lake George on April 17, 2008. We were very popular - I would say at least 50% of our customers were made up of people who rarely drank wine and had never enjoyed a wine tasting session. We were happy to convert a number of beer-drinking husbands as well. We heard over and over from customers that they were so glad to see a new, classy and modern business in Lake George.
Dr. Vino, I hope you make it in to check us out and try our wines. I'll have to check out this place coming soon in North Creek!

What a coincedence! I vacation near north creek (in Indian Lake) every year at an old logger's camp turned family vacation spot. I saw that sign in the window in north creek for BarVino Cellar and almost bugged out. I guess they expect the GORE crowd will be into it? Either way it better be open next summer so I can try it!

Lapierre Morgon 2006- excellent right out of the bottle. Much more classic than the richer 2005's and still reasonably priced. If all beaujolais was like this.
