bush wine toast

We know international summits are tough. They’ve been known to make a teetotaler go weak in the neck as recently as, oh, last year.

Now we have this photographic intel that the Teetotaler-in-Chief raised a glass with President Yushchenko in Kiev last week! The Dr. Vino cam only has this one angle, but it looks distinctly like the fruits of the vine that he his holding in the glass behind his goobery hand. My guess is that it beats fermented yak milk!

UPDATE: thanks to a comment from reader Mark, please feel free to “CAPTION THIS PHOTO!”

  1. I’ve notcied that while “W” raises his glass in a toast, he always sets the glass down without taking a sip….

  2. “Goobery hands”… is that what you call palming the glass like it’s a basketball?

Maybe we should caption the photo!

  3. Thanks for the further intel, Arthur!

Mark, please, feel free to dive right in! I’ll update so others feel free too!

  4. How about: “Here’s to Dioxin-free vineyards!”

  5. aren’t alcoholic teetotlers such fun to be with? aren’t they just the kind of people you want to share a beer with? no? wasn’t that the rationale for voting for this goob?

  6. My two cents is that this photo was carefully crafted, and he intentionally palmed the glass so people couldn’t tell whether wine was actually in it.
