Ah, I'm still waiting for a new edition of her Loire book. THEN, the Dordogne.

I like this book a lot, but found it frustrating having to guess where a producer might be in the book - perhaps this was improved in the paperback version.

I just came across your very nice review. To answer your question, I update information in my book on my website www.jacquelinefriedrich.com -- though I'm way behind in posting my tasting notes and anecdotes. I do hope to publish future editions of the guide but first I'll be updating and revising the Loire book for the University of California Press.
By the way, Francois Pinon is also one of my Vouvray favorites. And I'm slowly picking up errors in the book -- which I correct on my site and will correct in future editions of the book.

Yes, this is the #1 must have buying guide for any self-respecting wine geek. My young copy is way dog-eared.

I don't mind the copious amount of stars - it seems as if her rating of producers is as follows:

not included: either avoid or she missed it
included in appellation lists: buy
profiled: really buy
profiled and starred: buy now
