At my house, we keep going back and forth between the Feudi Falanghina and the Fiano, which is just a little more girly and floral. Such great wines at reasonable prices.

The shop on Astor Place had a Mastrobernardino with a beautiful painterly label and nice price. I kept the bottle but wish I could keep stocking this varietal. (The government-run liquor agency in Quebec doesn’t stock one single example of the stuff.) I think you hit the nail of the head: Sauvignon expression without any hint of grassiness, plus some flavours that are a tad more exotic too.
