The hot button-issue of wine and numbers is at the heart of what we discuss in my critics class at NYU. Alder Yarrow at Vinography recently dug up a 2004 article by WR Tish that sparked a vibrant discussion. In case you missed the very good (92 points? haha) discussion, I recommend it.

Thanks for raising that point. Since I don’t use numbers I have to be sure to include WORDS that convey what I think, especially in relation to other wines I have tasted. Is that what you would like?
I’m thinking about getting into more themed tastings–taste through a bunch of wines around a certain theme and then say which is the best. Would you find that useful?
